Ford Motor Company: The last big gun in the car industry

Published by dfallis at 8:16 am under Humor, Politics Edit This

Built Tough   The press corp quivered with excitement as the anointed one made his way to the podium to announce his newly designed ideas that will revolutionize the auto industry. In the year 2016, all vehicles will get 39 mpg, and we will be running on clean-air fuel. This latest brainchild from Obama is like all the others he has had since he began the big push to conquer the corporate world making government large and in-charge; it suffers from a lack of logical thought. God willing and the creek don’t rise, by 2016 Obama will be a not-so-fond memory and we will be on our way to recovering from the worst administration in modern history. However, that’s in the future and the real aim, by the Obama administration, is to wipe out the one automobile manufacturer that has not put its corporate funds in the hands of this administration.

In Texas, Ford is big-very big, and they are because they produce the most necessary item to the farms and ranches in the state, the truck, built tough to take a ‘lickin.’ Without a truck cows don’t eat, equipment isn’t hauled, and a Smart Car in a “muddin contest” just cannot cut the muster. True, not all muddin contest are necessary, but after a heavy rain that has soaked a field where cattle graze the farmer will want to have a motorized vehicle capable of carrying feed to the cattle who are standing knee-deep in Mother Nature’s wrath. The problem that Ford will face in 2016, if the government continues along the Al Gore line of eco-friendly logic, is that a Ford pickup capable of carrying feed, hay, and equipment, won’t get the required 39 mpg…and the cattle won’t get fed with feed hauled by a Smart Car.

The anointed one may be able to walk on water, but he will never see a horse trailer being pulled by a Smart Car in the state of Texas. Logic, true logic, deduces that it takes a mighty big truck to haul a mighty big trailer across a really-really big state. If Obama wants to find out how the civil war began, he should try to take a truck-more of a mistress than a utility-away from a Texas rancher. There are two things that won’t tread water and mud in Texas, one is a Smart Car, and the other is bureaucratic bull-sh*t.
