Washington D. C.: Follow the yellow brick road

Published by dfallis at 8:06 am under Humor, News, Politics Edit This

The president, congress, and some ambassadors for the United States seem to have an idea that we can talk with China and Russia, and resolve the missile crisis with Korea. Okay…mosquitoes don’t bite people, rats make great pets, and every household needs at least one roach to be complete. It’s impossible to estimate the amount of times that China has says a fine “F U” to the U S when asked to aid in one situation or another, and this time will be no exception. China really does not make a habit of meddling in their neighbor’s coffers, nor do they allow any other country to dictate their political course, so what would make them tell North Korea to stop their nuclear program?

Facts pertaining to China should include the amount of money that we are indebted to them, and the radical idea that they can tell us to stand down on any issue concerning the North Korean government. We’ve been to Korea, in a war like position, and we found that we could not efficiently fight the North because they had the heavy hand of China backing their effort. We have fought along side the Russians in WWII, and against their efforts in Afghanistan and South Georgia, much more than that cannot be said about Russian and American relations. The Cold War and modern switch in power has left both the U S and Russia looking more like ugly stepsisters than super powers, and there are many reasons to doubt that the Russians would aid in any effort to shut down nuclear armamentation in North Korea.

Watching the news, yesterday in a state of amusement in disbelief, I half expected to see Dorothy, Toto, and the Scarecrow come dancing down the yellow brick in search of the wizard of Oz. Of course the best resolution to the nuclear situation with North Korea would be the ability to get China and Russia to side with us and stop the delivery of goods to the North Koreans, but pigs have not flown yet. Even the wizard of Oz realized that the power to get what people needed is found in the people themselves, and we—the U S—have become ineffectual through the Buffoon-in-Chief with his harshly worded warnings. Kim Jong-Il is a thug, not a mentally astute character with whom one could have a logical conversation pertaining to disarming any weapon of mass destruction. General Eisenhower found that the North Koreans were a menace and that the Asian thugs are exactly like American thugs; they don’t want to talk, they want to act horrendously under any circumstance.

The only true weapon we have in our arsenal, is not something that we are able to produce or dictate, but the weapons that the Koreans are producing. In my lifetime, I’ve not seen anything that was marked with “Made in Korea” on the bottom side that worked as it was intended and rarely held together more than a day, why would nuclear weapons produced by these people be a different situation? Since we have abdicated as Big Brother, let Uncle China take the reigns…it’s the only sensible thing to do. When it all goes badly, remember the liberals in this country, under the Obama administration, caused the problem with their bleeding heart agendas.
